IMS provides Contractor Management, Project Services and resources to its Client, Alcoa of Australia Ltd, at each of its Refinery locations in the southern corridor from Perth.
IMS has an exciting opportunity for experienced Shutdown Co-ordinators who have substantial experience in management and supervision of contractors for shutdown activities in brownfields process environment.
The Shutdown Co-ordinator represents the Client and is responsible for the following activities:
Ensures all entry conditions are acceptable at a confined space for authorising entry, for overseeing entry operations and for terminating entry if required in accordance with Alcoa Confined Space Entry procedure
Verify that the required tests, permits, procedures, equipment, and rescue services are in place before authorising entry into a confined space
Conducts a pre-entry briefing with entrants to review hazards, safe systems of work and entry procedure
Conducts the necessary follow up and inspection to insure that the application and use of the permit system and protective equipment is correctly applied
Ensures problems encountered during entry operations are noted on the current permit so appropriate revisions to the future permit can be made
Acts as Alcoa Responsible Person
Compliance management of contractors in Alcoa EH&S standards and procedures
In order to thrive in this position, the following attributes are required:
Current nationally accredited Certificate of Enter and Work in Confined Spaces RIWHS202D is essential
Substantial experience in the management and supervision of contractor shutdown activities in brownfields process environment is essential
Flexibility to work for Day/Night Shifts across the Kwinana, Pinjarra and Wagerup Refineries is preferable
Strong planning and risk assessment skills
Focus on productivity and performance improvements
