IMS has extended its international operations to include India. Vedanta Limited is a subsidiary of Vedanta Resources, a globally diversified natural resources company with interests in Zinc, Lead, Silver, Copper, Iron Ore, Aluminium, Power and Oil & Gas.
Headquartered in London, Vedanta Resources is the largest mining and non-ferrous company in India. With current operations in India, Zambia, Namibia, South Africa, Ireland and Australia, Vedanta Resources has a workforce of more than 70 000 people and revenue of $11.5 billion. Vedanta Limited Lanjiigarh Refinery in India’s Odisha state is a leading producer of metallurgical grade alumina and other aluminium products, which cater to a wide spectrum of industries.
IMS Service Provision
IMS is providing Technical Specialist Consulting to Vedanta Limited at their Lanjiigarh Refinery in India. The Lanjigarh Refinery is located 300 kilometres from Vishakhapatnam and operates a 1.2 MTPA greenfield alumina refinery. IMS Technical Specialist Consultants provided expertise to address bauxite bin design issues and to investigate improvements to bauxite mining operations.
Additional Projects at Lanjigarh include Port infrastructure, 66 kilometres of pipeline from Tel River and 16 kilometres of railway linkage from the plant to Ambadola Railway Station.
