Long-term client Alcoa of Australia engaged IMS Workforce to provide experienced resources for a Major Mechanical Inspection at the Pinjarra Power Plant.
The 285MW gas fuelled Pinjarra Power Station is a cogeneration plant located in Alcoa’s Pinjarra Refinery in WA. The Plant produces both electricity and steam. The electricity generated is used to supply Alinta Energy’s electricity consumers and the steam is supplied to Alcoa for use in its refinery. The Pinjarra Power Station operates as a base load power station.
IMS Workforce services included the provision of safety and training resources and experienced Confined Space Entry Leaders.
Initial planning and preparatory works commenced in late January 2019 with the main Mechanical Inspection works undertaken between 18 March to 18 April 2019.
This was the first time that IMS Confined Space Entry Leaders have been engaged on works on the Pinjarra Power Plant. The client expressed appreciation of the performance of the IMS Team, including support from IMS Head Office.
