How We Collect Personal Information

We collect personal information in a number of ways. Usually it is directly from you when you complete your mailing list details so we can provide you with information about IMS.

Information Collected When Browsing Our Website

When you visit this web site, our web server makes a record of your visit and logs the following information for statistical purposes:

  • Your top level domain name (for example .com, .gov, .au, .uk etc)
  • The date and time of your visit to the site
  • The pages you accessed and documents downloaded

Mailing Lists

In our web site, we may ask you to provide your mailing information.

If you complete an online mailing list form, we only collect the information contained in that application form if you submit the form to us. If you log out of the web site or cancel the application prior to submitting the form, the information is automatically deleted. We also record your e-mail address if you provide it to us.

We may use your e-mail to provide you with information about IMS and the industry generally. If you do not wish to record this information you can "opt out" of the mailing list.

We may also disclose your personal information to service providers in relation to which we outsource some of our important administrative functions. Where appropriate, these disclosures are subject to privacy and confidentiality protections. The organisations to which we outsource services include marketing services, mailing services, and information technology services.

Access and Privacy Complaints

You have a right to access your personal information, subject to some exceptions allowed by law which require us to refuse access.
